The line acts as an organizing principle that structures perception and serves as an existential tool of translation.
In her studio in Hamburg (Germany), Hennes works on large-format paintings with ink and acrylic on canvas, while on the road she works on found materials.
These expand the large-format works in the studio with an immediate, situational level, lines emerge as an immediate reaction to situations, external reality meets internal necessity.

Framing
In collaboration with furniture designer Nikolaus Gläser, bespoke frames have been developed for the works. Their design reflects the formal clarity of the line-based compositions while extending the work into a spatial dimension. A precisely constructed shadow gap and carefully lacquered inner surfaces introduce an additional visual layer, allowing the frame and the artwork to enter into a deliberate dialogue that enhances the overall presence of the piece.
These frames can be produced on request to accompany a work.

Yes, I create commissioned works. The size of the artwork can be adapted to the client’s wishes. I am happy to advise customers on individual requests.
The prices of the artworks range is between €500 and €5,000. The exact price can be provided upon request.
Yes. The artworks can be transported. For very large works, the piece can be re-stretched onto the stretcher frame on site.
